Synopsis: Theumanexus College has been working on accessing a series of personalized demiplanes created by the mysterious mage Eisenheim more than a century ago and after over a year of research and experimentation, they think that they have finally solved the way to access the first of these. They now are looking to hire adventurers to explore the first of these, a demiplane created for an assassin.
Log Entry:
Well, the college paid well and that adventurer and gunpowder alchemist, Ashen, was also looking to go so I decided to take up Trig's advice and do some adventuring whilst in Korvosa. How else would a she-pirate be able to afford her own ship someday?
We were on our way 'n we docked through one-way doors in wha' looked like an autumn plane wit' a red pagoda. Thar was some discussion afore about an assassin's path regardin' the way o' the Red Mantis, but I hadn't paid attention t' it much 'til we came across some giant mantises. Three o' 'em descended upon our party 'n attacked us fer approachin' the pagoda. It looks like they we be the descendants o' the previous mantis pets, as we saw some collars in the grass. Regardless, was great that I was thar wit' a party or I might nah 'ave made it back t' the sea. One o' the fuckers well-nigh made me thar cur. I be too out o' practice, 'n won't be cocky in the future.
We made it to the Pagoda entrance and explored this crazy pagoda place and came across many different historical items... and giant sandman like monsters who tried to put us to sleep before sending us to whatever land-lovers call Davy Jone's Locker. We defeated the sand monsters and made our way to the owner of the pagoda's bedroom... where the former owner appeared as a reborn red mantis-looking demon thing and asked us to bring back a book to the world. We agreed, and I got a cool sabre.
